Definition:(adjective) wearing a lot of diamond jewelry

Example: A kiss on the hand may be quite continental, but a guy who will get you icy is better.

Quote:

“All these girls excited
Ooh ya know they like it
I'm so icy, so icy”
-Gucci Mane on the song Icy

This week’s word comes from a popular song and wishful thinking. The weather here in Boston has been hot and muggy and the only truly icy place is the movie theater.

But the song Icy is quite “cool” as rappers play with the double meanings of words about cold temperatures. “I’m iced out!” declares Young Jeezy of his many jewels before adding that his wrist is “on chill” with a diamond watch.

The other cold stuff in that song is snow. Following Jeezy’s advertisement that he is “da Snowman” Gucci Mane raps, “I'm icy, so snowed up.” Although these references to winter are obviously meant to continue the theme, snow is cocaine and a snowman is a cocaine dealer.
