Slang of the Week: trophy wife (noun phrase)
a beautiful young wife who is a status symbol for her (usually rich, older) husband

Donald Trump wants to make sure that he has the ideal trophy wife, so every 10 years he trades the one he has for a younger model.

Celebrity quote:
"I was looking for anything that wasn't playing the perfect trophy wife, which to me is boring, boring, boring. My character is unapologetically bad. It was incredible."
- Rebecca Romijn-Stamos talking about her role as a sexy jewel thief in Femme Fatale.
